Unassuming and elevated experience for those searching for an authentic flavorful bowl of ramen Great date night spot! Its a cozier space that makes the place feel exclusive and upscale with their quality table settings and dish wear If youre trying to impress without breaking the bank I would advise it Posh view of chef Akira in the Kitchen, it was a delight watching him work while we enjoyed the atmosphere and our starter I felt underdressed as I wasnt expecting such a luxury atmosphere - but the business welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable and fortunate to discover! 2 bowls of ramen with extra toppings and an appetizer of medium fatty sashimi was $70 after tax - they could have charged us more and it would've been fair!

I’ve visited Ramen Izakaya Akira several times, and this was my first time ordering the Beef Curry Rice. The Pork Broth Ramen was delicious with a rich, creamy broth, and the curry sauce itself was flavorful. Overall, the food tasted good. My only disappointment was the Beef Curry Rice. For a $20 entrée, I couldn’t find any beef at all—not a single chunk or even shredded beef. The server explained that the beef had completely cooked into the curry, but I think most people ordering Beef Curry Rice would expect to actually eat some beef. The portion was also quite small for the price. I’d still come back for the ramen, but I hope the curry either includes some beef or the menu makes it clearer that the beef is fully incorporated into the sauce.

Chef Akira has truly created something special. The Italian-Japanese fusion concept sounds bold on paper, but the execution is seamless — and his ramen is, without question, the best I’ve had. Every bowl is thoughtfully crafted, rich in depth, and unlike anything else you’ll find in the city. What makes the experience complete is the warmth of the service. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome — attentive without being intrusive. And the atmosphere? It’s exactly what you need after a long day. The space has this calming, almost transportive quality — the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe, and actually enjoy your meal. Chef Akira’s restaurant has become my go-to after-work escape. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on something truly memorable. Highest possible recommendation.

This is the best ramen I’ve ever had. I absolutely love ramen and have tried several restaurants and even made both Tonkotsu and Miso at home and it’s just incomparable to this restaurant. The Yuzu Miso Ramen will haunt my dreams. I just finished and already want it again. The server was very friendly and fast and the restaurant was charming and clean. It has limited seating so make sure to come early. I’m 1000% coming back!

As they operate out of Moonlight atm, seating fills up quickly during dinner hours. Highly recommend making reservations after 6 PM on their busy days. Jazz-themed decor and music made the dining experience very intimate. My wife and I each got our own ramen and opted for the daily chutoro special; it did not disappoint. It was so fresh that my wife, who is usually unable to eat seafood due to the smell of most sashimi, was able to enjoy two large pieces of the chutoro. The Nagoya ramen has a spicy kick from the special chili oil, and the Tokyo shoyu ramen is definitely full of umami. If you haven't dined here yet, you are definitely missing out!
